This guide records the advance listings for MONSTA X's The Phase. The announced September 4, 2026 date has passed; it is not a current release countdown.
MONSTA X announced the EP The Phase for September 4, 2026 at 1 p.m. KST, led by the title track “MAGIC.” Official listings show six songs, multiple physical editions and a U.S.-only digital download option.
The official U.S. store still describes September 4 as the expected release date. That wording is a record of the schedule, not independent confirmation of completed release or delivery.
The Announced September 4 Release Time
The official MONSTA X store lists The Phase for September 4, while the group’s prerelease page on Spotify gives the same date. Official preorder information specifies 1 p.m. KST.
For international listeners, the announced time corresponded to 12 a.m. EDT, 5 a.m. BST and 6 a.m. CEST on September 4, or 2 p.m. AEST in Sydney and 4 p.m. NZST in Auckland. These conversions describe that date, not an upcoming countdown.
“MAGIC” Opens a Six-Song Run
The official U.S. store lists the EP in this order:
- MAGIC
- Type X
- SURVIVOR
- Electric Heart
- That’s My Girl
- Sweet Night, Sweet Morning
The Spotify prerelease listing showed the same six songs and runtimes ranging from 2:29 to 3:00. “MAGIC” is the opening song and the announced title track—not an extra track hidden elsewhere in the sequence.
The Album Versions Are Doing Different Jobs
Starship Square lists four main physical versions: OFFSET, HYPER, REFINED and PHASE. Each includes a CD, but the packaging changes substantially—from large photobooks in the first three versions to a print-photo set and folded lyric poster in the PHASE edition.
There is also a five-member DIGIPAK lineup at Korean retailers. That matters if a buyer is choosing for packaging or member-specific artwork rather than simply looking for the music.
The official U.S. store’s digital download is a different product again. It is limited to U.S. customers and is delivered as 48 kHz/24-bit WAV files. Check the official product page for current pricing and availability; international fans should not assume that offer is available in their region.

The DIGIPAK listing names versions for Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon and Joohoney. That is the lineup represented in the member-version packaging for this release.
It should not be used to invent a bigger story. A product configuration confirms what is inside that product; it does not, by itself, explain contracts, future group plans or any member’s long-term status.
What the Advance Listings Do Not Establish
The store listings establish the announced schedule, tracklist and product formats. They are not a basis for interpreting the song's lyrical story or final music-video details.
Claims about the sound, concept narrative or performance require the finished work, not extrapolation from preorder descriptions.
How to Use This Release Listing Now
The September 4 schedule is now historical. For current access:
- Check the official store or streaming service for availability.
- Distinguish the U.S.-only digital download from physical versions.
- Treat the announced 1 p.m. KST time and six-track list as release information, not proof that a particular order has been delivered.
